Meet Our Team

Owner / Trainer
Jennifer Saban
Coach Jen has been coaching adults, teens and kids in various capacities for over 20 years. Swimming, dance and varsity volleyball were the original triplet during her first career as a high school English teacher and Vice Principal, having competed in all three growing up. After moving to California in 2011, she took her teaching and coaching experience to the gym full-time where she specialized in sport specific strength & conditioning. She has a passion for helping athletes elevate their game on the court, field or ice because of the extra work they put in at the gym in and out of season. She was introduced to CrossFit in 2015 and joined CrossFit Campbell in 2016, first as an athlete and later as a trainer. As a Masters athlete, she enjoys competing in local competitions as a way to keep her own fitness a priority despite a very busy and active life with her husband, raising three children (18, 15, & 10), and running a business. Jen bought Catamount Fitness/CrossFit Campbell, an affiliate formed in 2008, from the original owner in December 2019 and moved it to its present location in June 2020. It is her mission to make Catamount Fitness/CrossFit Campbell the gold standard for an inclusive and inspiring gathering place within the Campbell and surrounding community for people to find their fitness, improve on their fitness and celebrate their accomplishments regardless of age, gender or race. With her Canadian roots, she views this gym and its members as her extended American family and she can’t wait to have you be a part of it!

Trainer
Mike Peattie
Coach Mike originally came to CrossFit in 2012 as a conditioning program for rec-league ice hockey, and has been addicted ever since. CrossFit forged an avid interest in the sport of weightlifting, leading to CrossFit and weightlifting coaching (USAW L2) starting in 2020. What keeps Mike coming back to 6am workouts is the great community of CrossFit Campbell, and those shared butterflies that happen when Fran or a 1RM snatch is on the agenda. He credits CFC for keeping him in shape for his other interests - music, backpacking, and avoiding long runs.

Meena Shams
Coach Meena was introduced to CrossFit Campbell in 2019, participating in the Women's Strength Training group. From this, Meena was inspired to earn her L1 coaching certificate in November 2021 and started coaching at CFC shortly thereafter in 2022. Meena enjoys coaching at CFC because or the tight knit community. When Meena isn't coaching, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog, Pearl.

Reggie Roque
Coach Reggie joined CrossFit in 2012 to prepare for his first Tough Mudder. He was instantly captivated by the CrossFit methodology and became a coach shortly thereafter. In his free time, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, playing video games, building Legos, and sharing dad jokes. Rumor has it that he's still training for that first Tough Mudder. Joke of the Day: How do turtles communicate? With their shell phones!

Trainer
Alex Garwood
Coach Alex walked into CFC in early 2022 as a discouraged former athlete beaten down by the COVID pandemic. With help from the CFC community and coaching staff he got his act together, worked hard and diligently, and has been coaching since early 2024. Alex played football at Cal Poly while earning his MBA. As a three time Team Captain and Player of the Year, he learned the meaning of hard work and teamwork and loves that aspect of CrossFit. Alex is passionate about the CFC community and loves the camaraderie of working together most of all. Alex was born and raised in the south bay, married his high school sweetheart and raised their three sons in Los Gatos. When not at CFC you'll find Alex schlepping software or announcing high school football games. Alex is a friend of Bill's and loves that tie into CrossFit.

Trainer
David Lambert
Coach David has been doing CrossFit for over 13 years and coaching for eight. Along the way, David earned his Master of Science in Nutrition from Logan University. David's fitness journey began in personal training, and when the gym added a CrossFit box, he finally got the courage to try a class and was hooked. CrossFit, to David, is far more than just a workout. It's an incredible community of people who show up for one another, push each other, and grow stronger together. Over the years, David has met amazing people through his training - many of whom he now considers close friends. As a coach, David strives to help people not only achieve their fitness goals but also discover the confidence and camaraderie that comes from training in this community. If you're on the fence about CrossFit, David's advice is to just try a class - where he's confident you'll challenge yourself and find some of the most supportive people you'll ever meet.

Trainer
Bruce True
Coach Bruce was dragged to his first CrossFit class by his wife over a decode ago, and he was immediately hooked. He previously dabbled in MMA, rock climbing, Ultimate, and volleyball. With the encouragement of the CrossFit Campbell community Bruce took his L1 in the summer of 2025 and has been coaching since then. Bruce believes variety is the spice of life, and you never know when one of his classes might contain a warmup game, graphs and poorly drawn stick figures, or ballroom dancing!
